Display lettering sets the rhythm of the book
In Kelmscott books, a title is not isolated from its frame. Letter width, line breaks and foliage share the same density, turning the page into a single black-and-white composition.
The collection includes title pages, a binding and the surviving display-word studies that connect Morris’s drawing process to print.
